THE REALITY OF BREAST CANCER INEQUITY IN SA.
In South Africa's public hospitals, women diagnosed with breast cancer often face challenges beyond their diagnosis. These include broken referral pathways, long queues for treatment, sub-optimal care, and very little emotional support.
What is even more devastating is the lack of basic human respect women experience when they enter what are supposed to be healing spaces: bare walls, a lack of comfortable seating, no privacy curtains during examinations, a shortage of basic linen, and often no thought to their dignity.
Our Make Room for Her campaign transforms these spaces into environments of healing, hope, and humanity.
